Once a week. Also provided: music lessons, art, school support, family care and so on.

Location of population:
Developed in populations from: San José, Cartago, Heredia, Alajuela y Pococí.

Specific objective
A comprehensive and preventative approach alternative with a Christ-centric focus.

These are specialized programs for serving poor children living in urban/marginal communities or poor rural communities and who are under 12 years of age.

Children participate accompanied by their parents. Their parents also participate in a parenting school.

Children are placed in three levels:

  •  Children under 6 years old.
  •  Children between 7 and 9 years old.
  •  Children between 10 and 12 years old.

The program is preventive and comprehensive and includes: lessons about values and habits, biblical discipleship adapted to age, games, food support and other basic needs, transportation, clothing, footwear, school support, family counseling, crisis intervention, rides, camps, child and family supervising and recognition of important dates, such as birthdays, Christmas, children’s day and so on.
