This program began in 1996 but was redesigned in early 2010.
The emphasis is evangelistic and preventive and takes place through coordination with churches and other community organizations; from this viewpoint, it also serves as training for these organizations.
The visited communities have been strengthened in their communal organization and despite being a short-term program, their scope of action has been very broad.
Within the communities benefited from this program are included Costa Rican indigenous communities, rural communities and urban/marginal communities.
